Wii U Is Not “a Sexy Piece of Hardware,” Says Molyneux

Peter Molyneux, the former boss of Lionhead Studios and creator of Microsoft's Fable franchise, has weighed in on Nintendo, providing his thoughts on the company's troubled home console.

While Wii U is hardly "a sexy piece of hardware," according to Molyneux, gamers (and the industry at large) should "never underestimate Nintendo."

The Big N "may have lost their way," he explained to IGN, adding that Nintendo is "probably one hardware release away from something that utterly convinces us that they know exactly what the future of gaming is."

The folks over at the company "are super smart people," he added. Well said, Mr. Molyneux. Well said.

Do you think Nintendo will make a major comeback with its next hardware release? Could its new third pillar centered around QOL be the ace up its sleeve?
