         I welcome you to the wonderful and brutal world of Max Payne. 
 The protagonist of this game, Max Payne, lives in a world full of 
 hundreds of mafia members, drug addicts (known as junkies), government 
 assassins and officials, who combine their forces to make your life as 
 difficult as a hellhole. You, as Max Payne, go through an incredible 
 journey full of emotional losses, setbacks, revenge, and finally, 
 redemption.
 
         The world of Max Payne is incredibly scarce of normal, law-
 abiding citizens since the entire story takes place in a timeline in 
 which the city is hit by the fiercest storm in the recorded history. 
 But the story is so well told, that you will instantly believe any 
 given circumstances throughout the game.
 
         The story of Max Payne is the crux of this game (besides 
 gameplay). It is told through a number of cut-scenes and graphic novels 
 (ala Sin City). The writer has done a wonderful job of crisp and witty 
 writing which greatly serves the purpose of keeping the players at the 
 edge of their seats throughout the game. Both, the cut-scenes and the 
 graphic novels, are nicely done and maintain the dark mood and the 
 intense atmosphere of the game.
 
         Now, we come to the come to the gameplay of Max Payne. It 
 brings to fore a new concept in gaming, Bullet Time (ala The Matrix). 
 The bullet time will help you through thick-and-thin situations right 
 through the game. The whole idea behind this concept is to make the 
 gameplay more stylish and fun to play. When in bullet time, you as a 
 player , and all your enemies move in ultra-slow motion with the added 
 benefit of you being able to aim in normal time while the enemies aim 
 in slow-motion. However, you will have to use it very wisely since the 
 use of bullet time is limited and it diminishes with time. You can, 
 however, regain bullet time by killing more and more enemies. Another 
 wonderful addition to bullet time is shootdodges, which you can use 
 either with bullet time or separately. You will either dive forward or 
 roll backwards-sidewards depending on the weapon you may be carrying at 
 that time. The enemy A.I. is simple---see you-kill you. Thus, making it 
 both a good thing and a bad thing. It makes for great, intense and 
 stylish combat set-pieces. However, it would have been nice if the 
 enemies could lose your trail, bringing a different kind of strategy to 
 the fore. But, that's not saying much. It remains a great game through 
 and through.
 
         All said and done, this game will always be remembered for it's 
 story, it's unique and stylish gameplay, it's great characters, and 
 it's memorable lead protagonist, Max Payne.
 
         Get ready to taste the Payne.

 Introduction
 
 A few years ago, I wasn't much into personal computer gaming at all 
 when a friend told me about a game developed by Remedy Entertainment 
 and 3D Realms which played just like the movie, The Matrix. It was 
 supposed to be a cool action game, with great story, never-before-seen 
 game-play, including bullet time and shoot dodge, and many other things 
 to go with it. I went forward and tried the demo. And that changed my 
 whole video-gaming habits and converted me into a pc gamer. I was 
 bitten by the Payne!
 
 Preview
 
 Welcome to the wonderful and brutal world of Max Payne. The protagonist 
 of this game, Max Payne, lives in a world full of hundreds of mafia 
 members, drug addicts (known as junkies), government assassins and 
 officials, who combine their forces to make your life as difficult as a 
 hellhole. You, as Max Payne, go through an incredible journey full of 
 emotional losses, setbacks, revenge, and finally, redemption.
 
 The world of Max Payne is incredibly scarce of normal, law-abiding 
 citizens since the entire story takes place in a time-line in which the 
 city is hit by the fiercest storm in the recorded history. But the 
 story is so well told, that you will instantly believe any given 
 circumstances throughout the game.
 
 Story: 9.0/10
 
 The story of Max Payne is the crux of this game (besides game-play). It 
 is told through a number of cut-scenes and graphic novels (ala Sin 
 City). The writer has done a wonderful job of crisp and witty writing 
 which greatly serves the purpose of keeping the players at the edge of 
 their seats throughout the game. Both, the cut-scenes and the graphic

 The story is told in flashback by the character you play as, Max Payne. 
 A NYPD Detective (New York Police Department), Max Payne is shown as a 
 family caring man who has refused a job offered by the DEA(Drug 
 Enforcement Agency) because he then, may have had to go undercover 
 which would have been bad for his family.
 
 One day, Max returns home to find his house ransacked and his wife and 
 baby daughter murdered by junkies high on the designer drug V-Valkyr. 
 It happened on a fateful summer evening three years ago. Now, three 
 years on, he is shown working as a DEA undercover cop trying to uncover 
 the mystery behind the drug V. 
 
 While on the job, his best friend and fellow partner gets killed by the 
 Mafioso and Max gets framed for the kill. Now, he is a fugitive running 
 away from law while trying to get the real killers of his friend and 
 uncovering the mystery behind the drug V.
 
 The conspirators weren't ready to face the Payne!
 
 Gameplay: 10/10
 
 Now, we come to the game-play of Max Payne. Its game-play is the 
 biggest highlight of the game. It's incredibly well done and extremely 
 enjoyable to play. You get the feeling that you are actually watching a 
 movie.
 
 It brought to fore a new concept in gaming, Bullet Time (ala The

 Enemy A.I.: 8.0/10
 
 The enemy A.I. is simple---see you-kill you. Thus, making it both a 
 good thing and a bad thing! It makes for great, intense and stylish 
 combat set-pieces. However, it would have been nice if the enemies 
 could lose your trail, bringing a different kind of strategy to the 
 fore. But, that's not saying much. It remains a great game through and 
 through.
 
 Graphics: 9.0/10
 
 Though, the game is quite old, it still looks very good. The textures 
 and models are nicely detailed and they look realistic. Weapons, 
 character models, weapon reloading, environment, etc. all look fluent 
 and realistic. The explosions and flames are nicely done, lending 
 itself to creating a nice atmosphere. Carnage by bullets and explosions 
 are permanent and looks good. Death animation of enemies has its 
 restrictions, though. Also, there is no lip-syncing for the characters 
 which look odd at times.
 
 Sound: 9.5/10
 
 The voice-over acting in this game is the best you will ever find in 
 any game. They sound convincing and more! The graphic novels, though 
 they are great, would have been a big failure if it hadn't been for the 
 great voice-acting. Voice-acting in this game really makes you fall in 
 love with the characters. The guns and grenades all sound realistic. 
 The enemies yell curses at you during fire-fights which add to the 
 atmosphere. The music of the game, too, is one of the best for any 
 game, and it goes well with the intense mood of the game.
 
 Controls: 10/10
 
 This game is incredibly easy to control and operate. The features are 
 very well implemented and the players find it very easy to learn the 
 moves. You can also change the control set up for the game to any keys 
 you want to.
 
 Play time
 
 This game can take you anything between 9-12 hours to complete in your 
 first play through. However, this game has various difficulty modes to 
 beat.
 
 Replayability: 9.5/10
 
 The game-play is so strong that you can play it multiple times without 
 getting bored. Once you beat the game for the first time, you can try 
 to beat the game in higher difficulty modes, which are unlocked one-by-
 one as you beat the previous difficulty modes. The game has three 
 difficulty modes which make the game progressively harder to beat. In 
 addition to these three difficulty modes, it also has a timed mode to 
 contain with.
 
 Modifications
 
 The game has quite a few good mods for you to play. And the mod 
 community for the Max Payne games has gained momentum off-late. So you 
 can get a few hours game-play out of them.
 
 Overall: 10/10
 
 Recommendation
 
 All said and done, this game will always be remembered for it's story, 
 it's unique and stylish game-play, it's great characters, and it's 
 memorable lead protagonist, Max Payne. If you have, by any chance, 
 missed this gem, go and get it now. It can still bowl you over.

 1) Always collect weapons after killing an enemy.

 3) Rolling sideways/backwards/forward isn't really useful, since you

 4) Quick saves are a must in your first play through. Always quick save 
    after a tough fire-fight or before venturing into the unknown (new

    and he is not in a position to shoot back while taking damage) keep

 10) If you are using a wall or a door as a cover and enemies are 
     charging at you then follow the following mantra to stay fit :
     Step out-shoot once or twice-back to hiding-repeat till all of them
     are dead.
 
 11) Once an enemy spots, he will come after you. Be ready for some

 12) If you are in a hole, then you can always entice enemies into 
     following you. Take cover and let them have it once they come after 
     you.
 
 13) Always try to aim for the head.

 15) Make sure to turn off Bullet time as soon as your enemies are dead. 
     Don't wait for them to fall to the ground. Waste too much Bullet

         Now, we come to the come to the gameplay of Max Payne. It 
 brings to fore a new concept in gaming, Bullet Time (ala The Matrix). 
 The bullet time will help you through thick-and-thin situations right 
 through the game. The whole idea behind this concept is to make the 
 gameplay more stylish and fun to play. When in bullet time, you as a 
 player , and all your enemies move in ultra-slow motion with the added 
 benefit of you being able to aim in normal time while the enemies aim 
 in slow-motion. However, you will have to use it very wisely since the 
 use of bullet time is limited and it diminishes with time. You can, 
 however, regain bullet time by killing more and more enemies. You can 
 activate bullet time in three ways:
 
 1) While moving and pressing bullet time/shootdodge combo, you will 
    perform a shootdodge in slow motion. Bullet time will end when you 
    stand up again.
 
 2) While standing still and pressing bullet time/shootdodge combo, you 
    and the world will go into bullet time. You can stop it by pressing 
    the same button again or performing a shootdodge.
 
 3) Or you can do it by pressing the bullet time only button and stop it 
    by pressing the same.
 
         Another wonderful addition to bullet time is shootdodges, which 
 you can use either with bullet time or separately. You will either dive

 "The feeling hit me like a point-blank shot straight in the face...

         After a graphic novel followed by a cut-scene, you arrive at an 
 isolated station, your friend missing, sense of evil and crime high in 
 the air.
 
         Look on the right side, you will find a locked steel gate. Go 
 towards it to trigger some dialogues from Max. On the left side, you 
 will find a door marked 'Personnel Only' leading to a room, go through 
 it-a cut scene-check all the lockers and cabinets to find some 
 painkillers and ammo. Go back to the previous room and near the door 
 leading back to platform. A couple of bad goons have arrived. Kill 
 them. Show yourself to them and then, quickly hide behind the gate. One 
 of them will come for you; get a head shot and the other one will hide 
 behind the barrels. Use the pillars to get near him, shootdodge, aim 
 for the head, KO. Take their desert eagles. The locked steel gate is 
 now open.
 
         Go up the stairs, two of them are blocking the passage to the 
 right, kill them using bullet time/desert eagle. Remember to collect 
 weapons after every kill. Walk straight, look left, a thug behind the 
 locked gate, leave him. Turn right and down the stairs. Turn left, go 
 straight until the next left turn, equip desert eagles, and wait till 
 he turns and attack. Shotguns. You are now looking at the locked door 
 to the control room.
 
         Go down the stairs to the right. When nearly down, you will see 
 a moving thug and a standing one. Shootdodge/shotguns the standing one, 
 while still in shootdodge, turn right and kill the moving one. If you 
 got him, good. If you missed him, then he has moved into the room to 
 your right. This room is not necessary. But we will take a look. Go in, 
 check their positions by peeking around the walls and kill them. A dead 
 guard. Check the lockers. At the far end of the room there is a 
 passage, follow it, you will reach a locked gate, desert eagles to kill 
 the two goons behind the door. Back out of the room and to the other 
 side of the floor .First room on the left, one thug and the security 
 guard (you need him to open the control room), shotgun, and one shot 
 kill. Check the cabinets in the room at the far end.
 
         Now, back to the floor above, guard will follow you. Wait 
 outside the locked gate and he will open it-a cut scene-quickly hit the 
 panel on the right and go into the room and through the next gate and 
 wait outside the third one. A thug will move just inside the doorway of 
 the next room, kill him. Shootdodge and hide behind the control panels, 
 crouch, check their movement and introduce your shotguns to them. Go 
 into the only new room you can go and switch on the first train control 
 button. Painkillers.
 
         Go back down to the floor below and enter the train. Hit the 
 control panel of the train-a cut scene-go out the front door. As soon 
 as you pass the fallen gate and past the bend, three more goons will 
 appear. You can kill them by shooting the cylinders but you need to be 
 quick for that. If not, just use whatever weapon you feel like using. 
 Go up to the cylinders and up the left staircase to exit the level.

  Chapter 2: Live From the Crime Scene

 A graphic novel.
 New York City. Present day. Two nights ago. Unused part of Roscoe 
 Street Station.
 
 "We come to you now live from the crime scene.
  Right back at you."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You will start in an old and abandoned part of the station. Go 
 left; break the crate before turning left. Wait; take a peek around the 
 right side, a couple of thugs, shootdodge--shotguns to kill them. Check 
 the crates near the gate. Stand beside the gate, go into bullet time, 
 exit the door and kill the crook coming upstairs. Go down and you will 
 find another one at the end of the second set of stairs. Shotguns-
 shootdodge--surprise attack. Exit the stairs and you will come out in 
 an underground tunnel. Go right. Stop when you see a thug. Shotgun 
 kills him, the other one will hide behind the crates. Quickly take 
 guard behind the pillar and take him and another one out with your 
 shotgun. Check the crates for ammo.
 
         Go right and up the stairs. Boom!!! What the hell was that??? 
 Go right in the next room and up another set of stairs and hide behind 
 a set of crates. You will see a couple of gangsters arguing until one 
 of them shoots the other. Now quickly kill the remaining one with a 
 weapon of your choice. You will have got hold of a sawed-off shotgun. 
 Check the crates. You will also notice a door, go and press the 'use' 
 key near its handle. It has bomb without a detonator attached to it. It 
 won't open. Go down the stairs opposite the door. Two more bad ones in 
 the room below. Use shootdodge--surprise attack to make short work of 
 them. Proceed right and through the broken wall and stop when you reach 
 the cell doors.
 
         Their objective is about to become clear. Go into the hallway 
 and kill the goon with his back to you. Retreat back into the cell. 
 Three more thugs in that room. Run, dive and hide behind that room's 
 steel doors and carefully pick two of them and then the third one will 
 come out running. Kill him. Into the room. Look at the closed door with 
 a panel to the left. Press it. Door opens and a goon will come out 
 towards your room. Kill him and the one behind him. Desert eagle and 
 aim at the robber behind the control panel. Now, shootdodge--surprise 
 the last one.
 
         Collect the painkillers on the panel, answer the phone, shoot 
 the alarm. Thank You!!! You will see three panels. Go to Vault C first 
 if you want to find out what the robbers were after. Then go to Vault A 
 and collect the detonator. Remember the door with the bomb, your next 
 destination. Now, press Vault B and head back to that door with the 
 bomb. But, stop just before the stairs opposite the door. Three robbers 
 will appear as soon as you take the stairs. Be quick and use berettas 
 on the first one as soon as you see him. Others are pressing a bench to 
 block the way. Quickly switch to shotgun/shootdodge and kill them. If 
 one of them manages to throw a grenade, quickly run away from that 
 place. After killing them, go to the door handle and press 'use' key to 
 blow open the door. Take cover behind the crates. A cut scene.
 
         Bang, someone's dead!!! You will see a robber at the top of the 
 stairs on the far side of the room. Desert eagle to handle him. Two 
 more will appear and charge towards you with full vengeance. 
 Shootdodge--desert eagle to kill them. Go to the ticket booth behind 
 you to collect the painkillers. Now, take the stairs from where the 
 thugs appeared, right and left. Police sirens. You will notice another 
 set of three robbers. Shoot kill one of them and retreat away from that 
 place as one of them may throw a grenade. Now, wait for them to charge 
 at you and introduce your shotgun to them when they take the turn 
 towards you. But wait; there is still another one waiting for you in 
 the next room. Step into the room and shootdodge kill him. Now go to 
 the booth, press the Exit Door Control lever to open the gate to your 
 left and collect the painkillers. More sirens. Move out through the 
 doors and into the open sky and falling snow.

  Chapter 3: Playing It Bogart

 New York City. Present day. Two nights ago. Lupino's hotel.
 
 "My cover had been blown. The doors slammed shut behind me...
  And then I was dodging bullets like raindrops."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off in The Finito's Brothers' Office. Get ready as 
 they start shooting as soon as you gain control. Shotgun. Hide behind 
 the wall beside sofa. Shoot the first Finito brother as soon as he 
 attacks/shoots you. The other is hiding behind a desk. Run and dive and 
 aim at his head to kill him. Check the drawers and safe for ammo and 
 painkillers. Read the papers. A graphic novel. You find that another 
 big don-like mobster is coming to stay at the hotel, Room 313, your 
 next destination. Three goons are knocking in the door. Grenade. As 
 soon as they enter, throw it on the other side of the sofa and kill 
 whoever's left with shotgun.
 
         Out of the room, down the stairs, left into the bathroom to 
 collect painkillers. Back out, forward and left side this time, into 
 the room with the bed. Go into the next room, right side, and listen to 
 the radio. A graphic novel. Check all the drawers in the house and step 
 into the large glass door/window to move on. Left side and stop outside 
 the next door. Take a peek. Open, shoot the first one and then aim for 
 the cylinders to blow the remaining two gangsters. Back out of the room 
 too. Alternatively, you can wait for them to come out.
 
         Go in; check the straight room, back out and down the stairs to 
 your right. Straight and through the first door of the new floor. Shoot 
 the ruffian. Check the closet. Press the bed vibrating switch to find a 
 shotgun under the bed. Back out of the room and go left down the 
 hallway. Check the room 302 and carry on near the sofa and shoot the 
 ruffian on the sofa. Two more will come out from the straight large 
 door. Kill them. Go into the bathroom. Painkillers and a junkie. Back 
 out and through the big double-door.
 
         Shootdodge kill the guy coming outta room on the left side. 
 Another will come out from the room on the other side. Kill him. The 
 next door is locked. So, shoot the locks and into the next room and 
 near the doorway. You will see a couple of hooligans near the vending 
 machine. Kill one of them and head back into the room and wait for them 
 to charge at you. Three of them will come and get killed by you. Lol. 
 Hall way and into the first room on the right. Watch the TV. A cut-
 scene. Check the closets and switch the bed button to trigger a few 
 words from Max.
 
         Back out and left down the hallway and into the room. Kill the 
 junkie. Check the shelves. Out of the second door, you will see a thug 
 appearing beside the pillar. Kill him and back into the room. Three 
 more will come after you. Shoot them with dual berettas. Out, turn 
 right and left and into room 313. Quickly move away from the door as a 
 shotgun will fire. Check the papers. A graphic novel. Grab all the ammo 
 and check the closets. Exit the room and head on the left side of the 
 room towards the pillar. Two more thugs from the door on the left, Kill 
 them. Back and right side of the room. Turn left at the end. Into the 
 bathroom. A junkie. Just as you enter a junkie comes out from the last 
 toilet booth. Kill him. Back out. A door covered with wood planks. An 
 interesting Easter egg awaits you. Check it out. Now, back to the 
 pillar thingy and out from where the two thugs came out of and shoot 
 the boiler.
 
         Go down the big hole after the voices fade away. Take cover 
 behind the boiler. Shoot one of the two thugs and the other will come 
 at you. Waste him too. Now up and running. Shoot the thug on the left 
 hallway. Check the room beside him. A junkie. Exit the room from the 
 other door and straight into the opposite door. Hmm. Check the diary. A 
 graphic novel. Exit via wardrobe. A recording room. Check the camera. 
 Exit the room with the new door and left. Near another left turn and 
 you will find a thug who retreats at the sight of you. Three of them 
 there. Kill all of them using dual berettas and bullet time and 
 shootdodge. Exit via elevator. Press the switch panel. On to the next 
 level.

  Chapter 4: The Blood Veins of New York

 New York City. Present day. Two nights ago. Bowels of Lupino's hotel.
 
 "The word was out, a deadly virus released into the city's Corrupt
  Circulatory System. Something wicked this way comes.
  Max Payne at large."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         Step out of the elevator. Left, move along the lines of wooden 
 shelves and attract the three thugs' attention and retreat a couple of 
 steps. Dual Berettas, aim along the lines of the shelf, aim for the 
 head. Keep shooting. They are all dead. Check all the shelves and boxes 
 and then switch on the TV. A graphic novel. Open the door opposite the 
 TV. Two ruffians will come outta opposite door. Back out. Now, 
 carefully aim at the cylinders. Boom!!! One of them is dead, the other 
 charging at ya. Shoot to kill. Enter the room, check the boxes. You 
 will get some Ingram ammo too. Now, break the boxes blocking the door 
 with green light and proceed. Another enemy with a shotgun. Kill him. 
 Now check the newspapers. A graphic novel, Captain Baseball Batboy. 
 Take the baseball bat lying beside the steel steps.
 
         Now proceed to the stairs and stop when you hear them talking. 
 Shotgun, shoot at the door and place yourself at the bottom of the 
 stairs. Three of them will come to check and to die. Now, check the 
 closet behind the boiler and move to the next room via the stairs. A 
 kitchen. On the far right corner wall, painkillers. Back and straight 
 and up the stairs. Open the door to the left and enter. Check the 
 closets. Dual Berettas, open the first double-door to the left and back 
 out on the right side of the doors, start shooting for the head as soon 
 as you see them, all four of them will come on that spot. Killed, now 
 check their room for ammos and stuff. Take the 'key' to the bar from 
 the small table on the right.
 
         Move out of the room and proceed to the right, restaurant is 
 closed, check the bathroom for some painkillers and go the bar. A 
 graphic novel. Now, hide on the left side of the door, wait, and three 
 men will charge at you. Step to the right, shoot, hide, and repeat the 
 steps until all three of them are dead. Enter the bar and kill the 
 woman. Now, go to the counter and check the area for things. Now, stand 
 as close to the door beside the counter as possible without opening it. 
 Go into bullet time and charge, aim for the head and shoot as soon as 
 you see him. Stop bullet time as soon as you start hit the target and 
 continue shooting until he is dead. Collect the Ingram. Want to taste 
 the new cool weapon. Ok. Go down the hallway and shoot at the two men 
 who appear. Go for the head as it will save Ingram ammo. Now, go to the 
 control room on the left and click on the switchboard to trigger a 
 graphic novel. Check the closets and move to the collapsible gates. 
 It's locked.
 
         Go up the stairs and into the club, ignore the bathroom and 
 peek around the corner. A ruffian playing on the slot machine. Desert 
 eagle kill him, another will charge at you, kill him. Collect the 
 painkillers beside the sofa on the other side. Now go straight through 
 the double door, shoot the glass, and drop down on the boxes. Take 
 cover behind the boxes and second pillar. Four men will join the party, 
 two on each side. The two men from the steel gate side will attack you 
 after seeing you, kill them using shotguns. Another will shoot you from 
 behind the pillar, any gun. Now, move closer to the small gate and the 
 small box and Molotov burn the dude with the Ingram gun. Collect ammo. 
 Go back to the hallway and into the reception counter and click the 
 exit button. Back inside the room you dropped into and through the 
 double-door and out into the streets.

 "Turn around, walk away, blow town.
  That would have been the smart thing to do."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off in a street. Go right and look on the left side 
 of the street for a pawnbroker shop. Open the gate and wait outside. A 
 man will charge at you, kill him and go inside instantly diving, 
 shooting and killing the man on the right side. Take the ammo on the 
 shelf and the glass display and come out. Go left, Turn left again 
 around the corner and click on the newspapers. A graphic novel. Go 
 straight and down, open the gate. A man will come after you, kill him, 
 hide on the left side-step right-shoot the second man. Go into the room 
 diving and looking on the right side and shoot the hiding man. Come 
 outside again and explore the nearby van for things. Go back in. Exit 
 the first room, turn right into the hallway, and check the room to your 
 right to find a couple of junkies. Come back out and continue forward, 
 turning right. Boom!!! Another explosion has caused the ceiling to fall 
 down blocking the previous hallway. You are trapped. Now, continue 
 towards the only way you can.
 
         You will find a gate that is locked. Comeback halfway, kiss the 
 wall to your right and shoot the cylinders. It will go flying into the 
 gate. A man will come to check. Kill him. Enter the next room to find a 
 couple of junkies in the far end of the room to the left. Get the 
 painkillers straight ahead. Exit the room via the door to your right. 
 Go straight towards the first wall and hide. A hooligan will come out 
 of the next room for a walk. Shoot him. Another will follow. Repeat. 
 Now enter the next room and head straight towards the stairs. A guy 
 will come shooting the walls with his Ingram. Hide using the corner 
 walls and shootdodge kill him. Exit the stairs and enter the room at 
 the top. Collect the ammo from the locker benches. Into the next 
 hallway. Answer the phone. A graphic novel.
 
         Go and stop outside the next doorway. A couple of thugs will 
 come walking towards it and run away when they notice you. Kill them 
 while they are retreating or they will hide in a room to the right. If 
 they escaped, kill the using hide-shoot-hide-repeat strategy. Enter 
 that room. Break the lock on the door to the left and enter. Collect 
 everything including the key to the next locked door. Read the paper on 
 the left counter. A graphic novel. Exit that place quickly and into the 
 big room. Falling ceiling.
 
         Go to the door on the other side and climb the stairs. Another 
 man comes down shooting. Kill him. After you climb the first set of 
 stairs and turn and take the second set of stairs, a goon will toss a 
 grenade. Run back down. Boom!!! Go back to the second stairs. Reach the 
 top, hide on the left-shoot to kill. Another will come to get it. Give 
 him. Now look up at the next set of stairs and the goon will shoot and 
 climb up. Check the bathrooms next to the two dead bodies and then go 
 upstairs and kill the last one. Go right into the balcony, left and 
 right. Jump over the hole in the ground. Turn right and left into the 
 hallway. The balcony ground near you will collapse as a bomb a goes 
 off.
 
         Open the door and hide on the right side of the door. Look at 
 the door and behind it. A ruffian will keep coming, shooting and 
 retreating to his hiding place. Shoot him. Another will charge at you. 
 Kill him. Enter the room and dive shooting the man in the room to your 
 right. Enter that room to kill another hiding thug. Now explore the 
 house for things and come back to this room's window. Jump at the 
 window to exit.

  Chapter 6: Fear That Gives Men Wings

 New York City. Present day. Two nights ago. Streets; Rooftops and 
 buildings.
 
 "I don't know about angels but its fear that gives men wings."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off in a fire escape. Go the only way you can, which 
 is down. Jump onto the garbage box. Go to the two junkies. Kill them if 
 you feel like it. Enter the building with "Luigi's Laundry" sign on it. 
 Continue the only way you can. A cut-scene. Try the door to your left 
 to trigger a few words from Max. Take the door to you right to exit. Go 
 to the first building to your left and enter. Ignore the first door and 
 take the straighter one. Turn left. A few junkies. Take the stairs and 
 stop at the bottom. Three guards will charge at you. Shotgun kills 
 them. Keep climbing. You will come across a second set of junkies. Now, 
 don't wait near the bottom of the stairs next to them as two more 
 killers are coming down to get you. Kill the two goons who come down. 
 Now, take the stairs. Go to the door. A cut-scene.
 
         Don't kill the one who is moving. Kill the one near the fire, 
 if you want to. Now, descend down the stairs. Before exiting the 
 building, collect ammo from the first door near the exiting door. Go 
 back to the locked door in the previous building. Hide in the left side 
 of the door. Look at the guy banging on the door. Kill him as soon as 
 the door opens. Now dive through door and kill the thug on the right 
 side. Go to the doorway on the left and wait. Go into bullet time only 
 as soon as you see a thug appear and kill him. Kill the other goon on 
 the left side of that room. Collect ammo from the table in the first 
 room and exit the second room via a door on the right. Go left into the 
 counter room and collect the ammo painkillers. Take the lift opposite 
 the counter. Press the panel to move up and shoot the speaker if you 
 want to. Thank You!!! Exit the lift and take the only door you can on 
 the left. Kiss the bathroom door, collect the ingram on the cupboard 
 near it and wait outside the bathroom. Kill him. Switch on the TV. A 
 graphic novel.
 
         Check the closet and exit via window. Go to the pipe connecting 
 the two buildings on the right. Shoot the window on the other side. Now 
 get ready to kill three people from this side. Move on the terrace of 
 your building to see all three and use desert eagle to kill them all. 
 There a cool Easter egg on your side of the terrace. Check all the 
 windows and see if you can find it. Now proceed to their apartment. 
 Check the TV. if it isn't broken yet. Circle around to the other side 
 and check the closet before exiting via window. Land on rooftop; take 
 the pipes to the next building.
 
         Enter the door and go near doorway to the balcony. Hide on the 
 right side of the doorway; see two men from either side walking on the 
 level above. Wait for them to come together and shoot them with 
 berettas. Killed, go left and into the room and watch around the other 
 side. A funny thing happens. Now, go and kiss the door. Another funny 
 thing happens. Go through the biggg hole. Forward and turn around. Go 
 and stand at the bottom of the fallen wall. Shoot the two thugs who 
 come running down with a shotgun. Climb and kiss the wall to go over to 
 the other side. Enter the balcony on the right and get ready blow off 
 the enemy on the side of the balcony. Job accomplished, go left and 
 then, right.
 
         Enter the door. Check the closet, equip dual ingrams, save, and 
 enter the only closed door. A graphic novel. And a cut-scene. Now, 
 forward shootdodge to kill the three guys with your ingrams. You may 
 lose some health if not done right. Go the desk to read a letter. A 
 graphic novel. Exit via window on the left/right (as the case may be). 
 A cut-scene. Follow Vinnie Gognitti. You're in the room where you 
 killed the three people from the other terrace. Right and into the 
 previously locked door. Up and right, through the door. Onto another 
 terrace. A cut-scene. Now you need to jump onto a train. Simply 
 shootdodge/dive when a train passes by.

  Chapter 7: Police Brutality

 New York City. Present day. Two nights ago. Train, rooftops and 
 buildings.
 
 "The Good and the Just were like gold dust in this city. I had no
  illusions. I was not one of them...I was no hero.
  Just Me and the Gun and the Crook. My options had decreased to a
  singular course."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You once again start off on a rooftop. Take the pipe to the 
 next building and run straight towards the wall to hide. Two men will 
 come from behind the wall. Kill them. Take right and jump to the 
 adjoining building. Straight and jump across to the next building. Hide 
 behind the billboards. Desert eagle and shoot the goons appearing on 
 the terrace of the building on the right side. Continue along and take 
 a U-Turn to the other side of this terrace and enter the door. Check 
 the crates and stop near the top staircase. A cut-scene. Wait there and 
 a thug will try to run up the stairs. Shoot him. Another will hide 
 behind the crates in the floor below. Slowly move down backwards and 
 use ingrams to shoot him. Another will attack you. Kill him. Check the 
 crates on that floor too. Go right down to the bottom floor. 
 Painkillers.
 
         Now head out via a door on the far end of the floor. Peek at 
 the basketball court using the wall on the left. Note their positions 
 and show yourself to them. Repeat. The one behind the bench will move 
 to his left and patrol at the far end outside the court. Another one 
 will charge at you. Kill him. Dual Ingrams and shootdodge to your right 
 killing the first one while you fall. Now go straight towards the guy 
 you killed. Go near the doorway, peek at the door. Another thug 
 guarding it. Hide, toss a Molotov at him. Collect the ammo. Go through 
 the door. A cut-scene. Up the stairs and dive to kill a thug to your 
 left. Drop down into the hole to collect the ammo and painkillers. Back 
 up via crates and check the trailer van on the left for goodies. Climb 
 the van nearby and toss a well-aimed grenade at the man on the 2nd 
 floor. Now go to the extreme right of the floor and hide behind the 
 pillar near the fence and shoot the guy on the terrace of the opposite 
 building with a desert eagle.
 
         Near the lift, press the panel on the right pillar, enter and 
 up. Go to the level below for ammo and back. Go inside the doorway and 
 peek around the right corner without showing yourself. Toss a grenade a 
 few feet away from yourself and back out. Two mobsters will be blown to 
 bits while a third one will come for you. Kill him and enter. Go to the 
 walkway with a billboard and wait, ready with your dual ingrams. As 
 soon as you see a man, dive and shoot to kill. Another may or may not 
 charge. If he does, instantly dive and shoot again. Killed, check the 
 left corner for painkillers and proceed via the walkway, right around 
 to the other side. You will see two hooligans talking on the lower 
 level. Shoot the one on the right with your desert eagle, and wait for 
 the other one to make for the door. When he does, kill him.
 
         Drop down and collect the goodies. Exit via door and up the 
 stairs and left, through the door. You're on a terrace, left and down 
 the fire escape to the floor below. Into the room below, check the room 
 for ammo and switch on the t.v. A cut scene. Go to the bathroom up 
 ahead to get painkillers. Out and through the door to the right, 
 shootdodge and shoot while opening to kill a mugger. The others will 
 run around. Right and around, back away to this side as one of them 
 will toss a grenade. Quickly, throw a grenade. Two of them will be 
 dead. Now, peek around the corner and you will notice two of them 
 backing away. Quickly kill them using Dual Ingrams or they will exit 
 through the door. If they do, follow them. They will cross over to the 
 other building side via rooftop. Follow them inside the other door. 
 Make sure they are out of sight before entering the new door. Take to 
 hiding near the stirs to your left (which is blocked). They will come 
 back to get you. Kill them. Now, face the door and move backwards. Run 
 to your hiding spot as soon as you hear 'click' of a grenade being 
 thrown. Now, proceed forward and shootdodge-dual Ingrams-left side to 
 kill the last one here. Exit through the door. A cut-scene.
 
         Position yourself at the top of the stairs. A gun-totting crook 
 will make his way through there. Kill him. Another will be moving to 
 and fro at the bottom of the stairs. Desert eagle to kill him. Now go 
 near the doorway parapet and shoot the crook behind the dumpster with a 
 desert eagle. Back to the top of the stairs, another will be coming up 
 for your blood, Shotgun kill him. Back to the parapet, and throw a 
 Molotov (for effect) at the guy moving beneath you. Look to your left 
 at the area near Vinnie. You will see a guy moving there. Shoot him or 
 toss a grenade to kill him. Down the stairs and behind the wall near 
 it. Now look to your left, you will see crook with a sawed-off shotgun 
 shooting at you from the opposite side. Desert eagle kill him. Save. 
 Dual Ingrams. Now, go for Vinnie, using bullet time-shootdodge to take 
 him down.

  'The Age of Murder and Storm.'"
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         Go through the front entrance, left and check the locker on the 
 left. Back and right. Enter the Ticket booth; press the security lever 
 to reveal a room behind you. Take a couple of steps inside and hide 
 beside the wall on the left. A guard will come that way. Shoot him with 
 a shotgun. Another will come to check. Repeat and proceed. Check the 
 book on the table. A graphic novel. Check the shelves on both sides for 
 goodies. Open the gate and shoot the guy with a shotgun, back-off as 
 far as you can. Boom!!! Now, go through the door and hide behind the 
 first pillar. Shoot the guy moving to and fro. Desert eagle kill the 
 guy on the balcony of the above floor on the opposite side. Now exit 
 the counter and stand between the two pillars, face the counter and 
 move backwards slowly, Just enough to see the guy above. He has 
 Molotovs. Shoot him. Now check the tables and exit the room via door on 
 the right side.
 
         Stand near the second door. Peek on the right side around the 
 door to see a couple of thugs. Quickly exit the door and retreat. They 
 will have changed their position. Enter the room, turn right and hold 
 position behind the wall on the right. A thug will come running, shoot 
 him. Peek around the corner of the wall to see a Black suited crook 
 standing on the far end. Show a part of yourself to him. He will come 
 running towards you. Kill him. Now, peek around the wall at the bar 
 behind you. A thug is hiding there. Dual Ingrams and shootdodge-attack 
 kills him. Exit via doorway to the right of the second bar, left and 
 through the door. Shield yourself using the door and shoot one of the 
 guys on the left. Two will come running for your blood. Shoot them and 
 enter the room. Check the counter for things and check the books on the 
 table at the end. A graphic novel.
 
         Press the keyhole near the gate to open and enter, stop. Go 
 into bullet time as soon as a killer jumps in view and cap him. Take 
 the stairs on the right and open the gate at the top. Use the left gate 
 as shield and shoot the crook on the other balcony. Take cover; kill 
 the guy on the left. Use the metal ramp to explore the other side for 
 goodies and head back to this side. Go through the first gate on the 
 left and shootdodge through the second gate, shoot one of the guards, 
 shootdodge again and kill the other. Check the PYRO control panel for 
 painkiller. Check beside the speakers on the right side for three-
 hundred ingram-ammo. Then exit the room via doors on the other side and 
 up the stairs.
 
         Enter the gate and take cover behind the first pillar. Two 
 black-suited guards will for you, shotgun kills them. Take cover behind 
 the third (middle) pillar, and toss a grenade (for cool effect) at the 
 table to kill the last one. Take cover behind the pillar and three 
 thugs will charge at you. Kill them. Check the shelves, table and 
 proceed between the shelves and near another doorway. Take a couple of 
 steps and a thug will appear. Kill him. Go halfway down and crouch to 
 see another thug at the top of the first set of stairs. Desert eagle 
 kill him. Save. Take a couple of steps, crouch and kill another one at 
 the op of second set of stairs with ingram. If you miss him, he will 
 run to the top of the stair-case. Take the stairs, keep looking up and 
 shoot with dual-Ingrams, shootdodge a couple of times, kill two of them 
 up there.
 
         Take the door at the top, and off to the second door on the 
 rooftop. Look down to see a thug. Use desert eagle to kill him. Proceed 
 using the wooden plank and out onto another rooftop. Go right until you 
 reach two lit windows, go to the parapet and walk on them until you 
 reach the other side. Go through the door, shoot the guy on the left 
 and take position at the top of the stairs. Two more guard will come 
 up. Shoot them. Descend down the stairs and press the switch near the 
 gate.
 
         Hide on the left of the doorway; kill the attacking black-
 suited thug. Enter, take guard at the top of the stairs and kill the 
 thug at the landing below. Stay put as three more thugs will come up. 
 Kill them and check the wall on the far end of the walkway. Back down 
 the stairs; check the crates and drums, proceed to the controls on the 
 right up the stairs. Click on the stage controls to open the stage up. 
 Another thug there!!! Kill him with shotguns. A thug will come running 
 into this room. Kill him and exit via new opening. Left and up the 
 stairs to reach controls. Press two and four to clear your way. Go down 
 the stairs and make your way through the new walkway. When you reach 
 the bottom of the stairway, a black-suited guy will toss a grenade at 
 you. Retreat and away from that grenade. Stay put as the guard will run 
 up and falls to his death. Now, take the stairs to the top and go down 
 the walkway. There's a gap in the walkway, jump over it. Enter the 
 door.

 in the middle of the room. Check all the tables to fill your arsenal 
 up. To the max.
 
         Now approach the stairs from the right side, enter the big 
 circle and back. Hide behind the stairs, near the table on the right.  
 Save. Black suits will come from the opposite side, left and right 
 first floor. Use shotguns and ingrams to kill them. Six will from right 
 (straight ahead, first floor) and four will come from left. After 
 killing them, go to the middle, dual ingrams, look up on your hiding 
 side. A guard will be throwing molotovs at you from high up. Kill him. 
 Another will replace him. Repeat. Back to your hiding place. A graphic

         Check the closet foe painkillers, use them. Go through the door 
 to your right. Go along the lines of the door. Two thugs are walking 
 down the corridor to your right. Let them go. Now, look to your left 
 corridor. A single thug will be coming your way. Save. Kill him with 
 the baseball bat when he nears you, and quickly hide in the room you 
 came out from. Make sure you got his desert eagle. Hide near the left 
 of the door. Go into bullet time only and kill whoever shows up in the 
 doorway. Stand close to the doorway; you will get their ammo and 
 weapons. A total of seven/eight thugs will make for you. After you kill 
 them all, exit, check the right corridor for another thug, if you only 
 killed seven thugs near the doorway. Kill him.
 
         Go right and turn left and enter the door to your right. Check 
 the shelves and crates for ammo and painkillers. Exit and enter the big 
 room opposite the door. Check all the shelves for goodies. Now, exit 
 through the back door. You are on the left side corridor now. Save. 
 Enter through the door on the left wall, and kill the two thugs. Check 
 the newspaper on the ground. A graphic novel. Check the shelves and 
 crates. Exit the room, left and turn right, into the new corridor. Near 
 the end, you will find a lift. Enter and press the switch.
 
         Look at the backside of the lift. It will open. Two thugs here. 
 Let them runaway. Go near the large exit door, step out and back in. A 
 goon from the room on the right throws a grenade on the right side of 
 the big van, killing one of the thugs who runaway. Now, enter the van, 
 and aim at the goon hiding near a machine on the left inside the room. 
 Use the left wall of that room as cover and kill him with desert eagle. 
 Now, use the right door of the van, and kill the thug on the right, 
 near the steps. Run to the steps, equip desert eagle and shoot the two 
 thugs coming after you. Enter the room they came from and check for 
 ammo and painkiller (on the wall to your left). Back out, turn right 
 and shoot dodge through the door on the far right, shoot the thug on 
 your right with dual Ingrams.  Back out, exit through the walkway on 
 the right. Go left and enter the hotel doors. A graphic novel.
 
         Remember the place??? Go left to the lounge door. A cut-scene 
 and a graphic novel. Hide to the right of the door. A guard comes out. 
 Kill him. Two other thugs will take cover in the opposite room namely 
 'Cabinets'. Run over to the left of the room's doorway and hide. One of 
 the black-suits will come running out. Kill him and the man hiding 
 behind the table inside the room. Back out and check the small table. A 
 graphic novel.
 
         Go the bar. A graphic novel, and a cut-scene. Save. Stay where 
 you are. A thug will move to and fro on the right side door inside the 
 room. Quickly kill him. Whether you managed to kill him or not, another 
 thug will charge at you. Run back and hide near the wall on the left. 
 Kill him and again hide near the left doorway. Kill the man behind the 
 counter with a desert eagle. Frankie will attack you now. Equip dual 
 ingrams, go into bullet time only, and aim for his head. K.O. A graphic

 "Vladimir was one of those old-time bad guys with honor and morals,

         Go to the small cabin and kill the man inside it. Check the 
 shelves and press the switch beside the gate. Now, come out and enter 
 through the main gate. Take cover behind the big box, kill the man 
 coming towards you on the left and then kill the second man. Go towards 
 the gate on the far right corner (near the stairs) and press the switch 
 on the right. Take cover on the left side and shoot the closest person 
 with a shotgun. Desert eagle for the thug on the far end. Press the 
 switch, show yourself and back off. Boom!!! Press the switch and kill 
 the man on the top gallery. Use the stacked up boxes on the middle to 
 climb the stairs. Walk around to the end for some goodies. Back down; 
 check the top box on the left for a painkiller. Exit via door on the 
 middle right.
 
         Wait for the goon to get near the explosive barrel and shoot 
 the barrel. Shootdodge--Dual Ingrams to kill the thug from the trailer. 
 Check the trailer and proceed to the far end and enter the room on the 
 far left. Ingrams to kill the thug on the top gallery. Be quick or he 
 will throw a grenade. Straight, and take the lift. Walk around to the 
 other and press the lever. Stay put as two more goons will enter the 
 room from the right side of the lever. Kill them using desert eagle. 
 Check the cabinet to your right and go down.
 
         Take the middle door and kill the thug on your right with the 
 shotgun. Left and kill the thug there. Proceed and take cover behind 
 the containers when a goon attacks you. Three of them will make for 
 you. Kill them using dual Ingrams or shotgun. Back and right, check the 
 tent for goodies. Now, go back and up the big yellow crane. Go inside 
 the driver seat, press the controls to clear your way. Look back and 
 kill the goon on the gallery at the far end with a desert eagle. Exit 
 the crane and kill the two thugs approaching from the other side of the 
 crane. Check the tent behind the crane for goodies.
 
         Go to the front and through the block way on the left. As you 
 pass it, the crane will drop the container it had just lifted, thus 
 blocking your way. Turn left and another goon will attack you. Kill 
 him. Make your way through the containers until you reach a big 
 gallery. Turn right and near the legs of the big crane. It will start 
 to move backwards. Follow it and regain your place between the 
 containers, just as it lifts the building block. Two more guards will 
 attack you. Kill them and head right.
 
         Check the open room on the left side of the walkway. Exit and 
 right, go between the blocks and shootdodge-dual Ingrams kill the thug 
 on the right. Check the crate beside the block on the left. Head right 
 and hide behind the big crate. The big crane will move in your 
 direction and stop. Kill the driver with desert eagle, and it will lift 
 its cargo clearing your way forward. But stay put as two more guards 
 will come to check, stop near the crane. Incite them and kill. Now, 
 proceed through the crane and two more thugs will attack you. 
 Shootdodge kill them. Go left and kill the thug there.
 
         Hide and peek to the left side of the path. A couple of them. 
 Show yourself and hide. One of them will come for you. Kill him. Turn 
 left and shootdodge inside the right path, killing the thug there. Do 
 it before he can throw a grenade. Back to the main walkway and open the 
 room on the right side of the path. Kill the thug inside and check the 
 table for a letter. A graphic novel. A new weapon for you, Sniper 
 Rifle. Press 'use' key to zoom in with the sniper rifle. Rejoice and 
 proceed to the left of the room. Turn right and keep running over the 
 metal bridge as the guard is looking on the other side. Kill him and 
 shootdodge kill the thug who comes from behind. Turn right shoot the 
 lock on the metal gate to collect goodies inside.
 
         Out and to the right, Look through the fence at the back wheel 
 of the truck. It's blocked by a wooden plank. Shoot the piece of wood 
 and run back. Turn left. As you cross the metal bridge a thug will 
 appear. Kill him. Another thug will appear. Kill him too. Now, peek 
 around the corner to your left. You will see a thug in the distance. 
 Snipe him and the one who comes up to the thug you just sniped. Run 
 down the long path to the metal bridge on the left. As you approach the 
 left-side bridge, another thug will attack you. Take him down. And 
 proceed to the metal bridge. Take cover behind the truck as another 
 thug will come out of the room on the right side. Take him down and 
 look on the far end of the open yard. A thug on the far end. Snipe him.
 
         And enter the room. Check the shelves and wall for goodies. 
 Press the switch to the right of the shelf to open a secret room. Enter 
 and collect the goodies. Back out; go to the exit door of the room. As 
 you near it, another thug will come in. Kill him and exit. Go to the 
 right and enter the door on the far end.

  Chapter 3: With Rats and Oily Water

 A cut-scene.
 New York City. Present day. One night ago. Brooklyn riverfront; 
 warehouses; hauler; ship.
 
 "The guns were probably being kept in the hold, buried amidst the rats
  and oily water."
 
         You start off in a warehouse. Snipe the man on top of the cargo 
 and hide on the left of the pillar. A goon with Ingram will come to get 
 you. Kill him. Right and left, straight to the end. Check the shelves 
 for goodies and go back. Take the right, between the cargos. Yu will 
 see shelves but turn right and hide behind the pillar beside the cargo. 
 A thug will appear behind the shelf and another on the top ramp. Snipe 
 the top one from between the pillar and cargo. Now, shootdodge left and 
 kill the thug behind the shelf. Collect goodies and go back from where 
 you came, near the pillar. Save. Head right, very slowly and retreat as 
 soon as you see a grenade coming towards you. Boom!!! A thug will 
 charge at you. Kill him. Now proceed and shootdodge left and kill the 
 thug behind the pillar quickly run towards the body and hide. Another 
 goon is walking overhead on the ramp which you just crossed. Dual 
 Ingrams kill him.
 
         Check the shelves behind to the left.  Go up the ramp. Look at 
 the door on the left, a thug will appear. Shoot him with Ingrams. If 
 you missed him, he will make his way around to you. Kill him then. Now 
 make your way to the door. Look behind on the top of the cargo. Collect 
 the painkiller if you need it. Check the open container for goodies and 
 head back to the door. Look at the door and zoom in with the sniper. 
 Walk into the door and look further on. A thug on a moving hoist will 
 come towards you. Snipe him. 
 
         Take the carrier and press the forward button. The current 
 direction will always be referred to as forward. Left, right and 
 backwards will be accordingly referred. Snipe the thug on the tower in 
 the distance straight ahead. Look left and snipe the thug on the tower. 
 When the carrier stops moving, press the back button. Look back and 
 snipe the goon on the back tower. Go towards the back tower and enter 
 to collect the goodies. Three thugs on the ground level will take 
 position. Snipe them and enter the lift. Forward. Snipe the man on the 
 distance tower on the far left. Go to that tower and collect goodies. 
 Two more thugs will appear below. Snipe them and enter the carrier. 
 Back and to the right. When it stops moving, press the forward button. 
 Enter the tower for goodies and snipe the two goons on the ground. Exit 
 the tower and the carrier. Save.
 
         Enter the door to the new warehouse and jump on the box below. 
 A thug will run to your left. Shootdodge kill him. Take cover on the 
 right behind a pillar to the left of the ramp. Three guards will come 
 down from there. Kill them. Go to the right side of the ramp and 
 forward. Peek around the corner to the right. A small fenced off area 
 with a locked door. Toss a grenade inside. Boom!!! A thug just got 
 blown. Now, go up the ramp and left. Shootdodge enter the door at the 
 end of the ramp and kill the guard there. Look out of the window and 
 snipe the thug there. Look below and shoot at the cylinders. 
 Bbbbbooooommmmm!!!!! Press the switch next to the door. A cut-scene. 
 Exit the door, a couple of thugs will run up the ramp and attack you. 
 Kill them using dual Ingrams-shootdodge. And check the container at the 
 end of the ramp. Down and to the right. Enter the door for goodies and 
 back to the ramp. More goodies on the table near the end on the right 
 side. Enter the fenced off room, check the shelf and enter the door to 
 your left. A cut-scene and a graphic novel.
 
         Show yourself to the guard and hide. Two thugs will come to get 
 it. Kill them, exit, and go up to the wooden plank on the right, nears 
 the ship and hop in. Wait and a thug will come from the right side. 
 Kill him and take the route from where he came.  Another will appear on 
 the top of the stairs. Ingram kills him. Turn left and kill the thug 
 that will attack you. Toss a grenade into the cabin to kill a thug 
 there. Enter and walk up to the painkiller cabinet. Check the means of 
 communication near it. A graphic novel. Open the door behind you, show 
 yourself and retreat. Boom!!! A thug blew himself up!!!
 
         Go down, a thug will attack you. Kill him. Turn left and peek 
 around the corner to the left. A thug with a shotgun. Kill him. Walk 
 near him and peek around the corner on the bottom landing. Two more 
 thugs. Toss a grenade. Save. Enter the door to the right. A cut-scene. 
 Retreat and hide. Show yourself and hide. Two thugs will come for you. 
 Kill them. Shoot the cylinders on the far end. Boom!!! A thug will run 
 out. Shoot him down. Enter the room and hide behind the crates. Go 
 right and hide behind another crate ahead. Use dual Ingrams--shootdodge 
 to take down Boris Dime. If you haven't collected the painkillers 
 upstairs, then do it now, as you will not be able to do that after the 
 following events. Enter the last room after checking this room for 
 goodies. Collect all the weapons here. Colt Commando. Sing and dance 
 your way out to the stairs.

 as you take a couple of steps forward. So, instead of going forward, 
 turn right and then, left. Go straight to the double-door behind the 
 bar. Through the double-door across the room, and turn right. Run 
 between the second and third shelf, turn right and then left. Right and 
 straight down the hallway. U-turn left at the end of the wall and 
 through the room. Left and u-turn right, across to the right side of 
 this room (dark side with a pillar). Jump above the seats and go left. 
 Straight to the far left of the room and up the stairs. U-turn right at 
 the end of the hallway and enter the door on the left near the end of 
 the walkway. Go straight and right, through the door, and turn right, 
 avoid the first pushcart and the second one by going diagonally left 
 and jump over the two fallen pushcarts.
 
         And shootdodge through the double-door, colt commando in hand, 
 shoot the black-suited thug straight ahead. Explore the kitchen for 
 goodies and throw a grenade down the elevator shaft, to the right of 
 the stairs, to kill a couple of goons in the lower level. Save.
 
         Now, go down the stairs and jump through the trap door at the 
 very end of the room. Go into bullet time as soon as you hit the 
 surface, and kill the three goons coming from the left-side ramp. Aim 
 for the head with Colt Commando. Now, peek around the corner on the 
 left. A thug. Shoot to kill. Another will come for you from the left. 
 Kill him too. Walk along the ramp. First left, then right. Shootdodge 
 down the ramp and shoot the thug on the right. Go right and kill the 
 thug on the ramp in the right side and turn left. Peek around the 
 corner on the left side. A thug. Kill him with a colt commando. Another 
 will attack you. Kill him and climb up the stairs. Go through the door

 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off by entering through the back door. Walk down the 
 stairs and enter the gate on the left. A corpse. Examine it. A graphic 
 novel. Back out and make for the doorway up ahead. A thug appears. Kill 
 him. Check the shelves for goodies. Go out through the doorway and kill 
 the thug on the far end. Another thug rolls up. Shootdodge-shotgun 
 kills him. Enter the door on the left by shootdodging and kill the thug 
 on the left. Check the barrels for painkillers and exit. Go left and 
 hide behind the doorway as a thug runs by shooting with Ingrams. Go to 
 the doorway up ahead and show yourself. Take cover on the left of the 
 doorway. Kill the thug who comes that way. Shotgun kills the thug on 
 the left inside the room. And shootdodge-dual Ingrams kill the thug 
 hiding behind the pillar on the far left corner. Check the shelves in 
 the previous rooms and back. Take the stairs on the right.
 
         Enter the door on the top. You will see a thug run inside the 
 room straight ahead. Check the small table on the left up ahead. A 
 graphic novel. Go up to the door. Save. Equip dual Ingrams, open the 
 door and hide on the left side. Shoot the guy on the right. Now, 
 shootdodge kill the guy on the left. And then kill the middle guy, 
 Pilate Providence aka 'The Big Brother', by going into bullet time only 
 and running in circles. Aim for the head. Check behind the table for 
 ammo. A couple of thugs run inside. Kill them and exit. Check the 
 various tables for goodies.
 
         Shootdodge through the door beside the fridge, and kill the 
 thug on the left. Stand near the first pillar on the right, face the 
 door you just used, and walk backwards. Look up on the right-side 
 balcony to see a thug. Desert eagle to kill him. Now proceed through 
 the door up ahead. Look to the left at the tree. A thug with a shotgun 
 is hiding behind it. Kill him. Now, face the door on the right, equip 
 dual Ingrams, and go through the door. Straight towards the counter and 
 kill the thug with the grenade, shootdodge right and kill the diving 
 thug. Check behind the counter for goodies. Exit via door on the right. 
 Take cover behind the stairs and let the thugs settle. Walk backwards 
 and shoot them both one-by-one.
 
         Walk up the stairs, right side first. Save. Open the door and 
 stand against it. Make sure to hide carefully. Now, chuck a grenade at 
 the wall close to the thug on the far right. One, and possibly two, of 
 them are dead. Colt commando, shootdodge and kill whoever's (Joe 
 "Deadpan" Salem) left. Exit and to the door on the opposite side. Kiss 
 the door and back to this side. Snipe the thug inside the room and 
 enter that room. Peek around the corner on the left. A couple of thugs 
 there. Kill them. M79. Enter the bathroom and kill the thug there. 
 Another will come in. kill him and take the second door. Go up to the 
 body on the bed and press the 'use' key. A graphic novel. Go to the 
 other side of the room and check the telephone near the door. A graphic 
 novel. Bullet time enter the door, colt commando in hand; shoot the 
 thug (Vince Mugnaio) on the other side. Save. Kill him before he can 
 enter the room. Enter the room on that side and kill the two thugs 
 there. Punchinello's trios are done for.
 
         Collect whatever you need and approach the door on the left. 
 Equip M79. Save. Enter. A graphic scene and a cut-scene. Punchinello is 
 killed by the new enemies codenamed 'killer suits'. Save as soon as 
 regain control. Backward shootdodge and shoot the M79 near the three 
 killer suit. They are gone. Exit the room and take the doors to your 
 right. A cut-scene.

  Chapter 1: Take Me to Cold Steel

 "There was a whole lot of action around the place for a freezing winter
  night, trucks coming and going, men running.
  I had the drop on the mystery witch, she thought I was dead. I was on
  her blind sight. I was going in."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off on a terrace. Shoot the glass and drop down. 
 Shoot the laser tripwires from this room and enter. Enter the door on 
 the right. Check the shelves and the closets for cool goodies. Check 
 the radio. A graphic novel. Equip sniper rifle and enter the other 
 door. Zoom in and shoot the thug on the left of the metal carrier in 
 the middle of the room. Quickly look on the right side below you, and 
 shoot the explosive barrel when the thug passes by it. Go to the other 
 side and check the shelves. Go down to middle carrier, near the first 
 thug, and try to open the door. Hide on the left side of the carrier 
 and shoot the thug with colt commando. Check the carrier for goodies. 
 Right through this level, we will use colt commando. Aim for the head 
 for quick kills, and shootdodge a lot. Now, go inside the room on the 
 opposite of the carrier. Check the shelves and the closet, and quickly 
 hide behind the left of the door. A thug will come for you. Kill him. 
 Check the painkiller cabinet, exit the door, and go left. Press the 
 switch on the left wall near the metal sliding door.
 
         Kill the guard on the right side first and then shootdodge into 
 the room, and kill the other one. Open the door on the far right side, 
 shoot the laser tripwires, and enter the room and retreat. Boom!!! A 
 thug will come for you, kill him and exit. Take the door on the right. 
 Go near the switch of the metal door. Save. Press, shootdodge right, 
 into the room, and kill the thug on the small stairs. Another will come 
 from behind, kill him and go to the other side. A thug will come down 
 from the above ramp, from behind. Kill him and check upstairs. Come 
 down, to the other side, open the metal sliding doors, and enter. You 
 will see a lava-like place on the left. Notice the grey-hard stones on 
 the lava floor. Jump on them to go to the other side of the metal 
 crates. They will start melting once you step on them, so do this 
 quickly. Check the shelves and use the metal crates to come back to 
 this side, another thug appears near the metal door. Shootdodge kill 
 him and exit the room.
 
         Go right. Open the gate on the far end in the right side. Shoot 
 the box and the tripwires. Two thugs will come for you. Kill them with 
 head shots and enter the room check the shelves and closet on the right 
 side and proceed near the door on the other side of the room. Save. 
 Enter the next room and retreat. Shoot the thug on the far end of the 
 room opposite the door. Shoot dodge into the room and kill the thug on 
 the left. Climb the stairs on the left, press the switch to extend the 
 retractable bridge. Step on it and back down to this side. Kill the 
 thug here. Go back up and onto the other side. Place yourself near the 
 end of the stairs on the right. A thug will come. Kill him and climb 
 the stairs. Go to the door on the right.
 
         A long corridor. Run up to the other side. While you run, a 
 thug will appear on the other side. Shoot dodge kill him. Turn right 
 and continue running. A thug will throw a grenade. Shootdodge kill him. 
 Turn left at the end and run. Shootdodge kill the thug on the far end. 
 Open the door and hide behind the metal crates. A couple of thugs will 
 hide on the other side of the crates. Shootdodge left and kill them. 
 Enter the door on the other side, on top of the stairs. Go near the 
 window without alarming the goons inside the room on the left. Headshot 
 kills the thug. Another will come out. Shootdodge kill him. Check the 
 room for goodies and check the walky-talky. A graphic scene. Exit; go 
 left and through the door to end the level.

 A cut-scene.
 New York City. Present day. One night ago. Bowels of Cold Steel (The 
 Factory).
 
 "I was close enough to hear the secrets just beyond the next doorway."
 
         Take cover behind the pillar. A thug will come from the left 
 door and another from the room. Bullet time kill them both. Check the 
 shelves, room and read the folder on the table. A graphic novel. Exit 
 and take the door on the right. Retreat and a thug will come for you. 
 Kill him and exit. Check the crate, and toss a grenade in the room with 
 tripwires on the right side. Boom!!! Enter and press the valve on the 
 right to stop the fire. Take the door on the left; kill the thug on 
 right side ramp below you. Run forward and shootdodge and shoot the 
 thug on the opposite side ramp. Go to the next room. Throw a grenade 
 and retreat. Boom!!! Enter again, collect grenade, and exit through the 
 door on the right. Shootdodge kill the guy on the opposite side ramp. 
 Precede to the next door, toss a grenade in the room and retreat. 
 Boom!!! Enter and make your way through the fire. Shootdodge and kill 
 the thug on the right. Go to the door on the right, shoot the controls 
 inside and enter. Check the shelves, and press the control wheel on the 
 right to stop the fire. And exit this room.
 
         Proceed to the next door, enter and retreat. Boom!!! Use the 
 left side of the door as cover and snipe the thug in the control room 
 on the left side at the far end. Enter the room and go near the railing 
 on the left side. Toss a grenade in the carrier below. Now, head back 
 and jump down the hole onto the red crates. Head to the stairs, climb 
 and press the switch to extend the retractable bridge and proceed to 
 the carrier on the right. Check it for goodies. Shoot the explosive 
 barrel against the door. Open it. Boom!!! A thug will come for you. 
 Shoot to kill.
 
         Enter, save and through the door on the right. And retreat. A 
 thug will come in, kill him. Stand against the door, go into bullet 
 time, enter the next room, look at the ramp above you, and shoot the 
 thug. If he manages to throw a grenade, dive away from it. Go to the 
 other side and check the shelf. Climb on top of the wire mess conveyor 
 cage and jump onto the broken stairs. Shootdodge up and kill the thug 
 who comes in. Enter the door, turn left and hide behind the crates. 
 Shoot the two thugs behind the fence. Enter the door on the right. 
 Explore the room and press the switch beside the window control panel. 
 A cut-scene.
 
         Immediately turn back and dive to your right, killing the man 
 near the doorway. Exit and to your right, through the fence door. Turn 
 right and through the door. Look down and let the two thugs take their 
 position. Snipe the thug in the middle of the room. Take position at 
 the top of the stairs on the left, other thug will run up to it. Kill 
 him and explore the ramp on the other side. Go down and to the control 
 panel on the right end. Press the switch and check the closets. Go to 
 the left of the door that has been cracked in the middle. Shoot the 
 cracked part. Two thugs will take position on the left and right. Use 
 door as cover and shoot them. Enter and shoot the tripwires in the room 
 to your left. Shootdodge into the room and kill the thug on the left. 
 Check the room for goodies and exit through the only new door. Save.
 
        A blast furnace!!! Shoot the first laser tripwires and enter the 
 rail-cart. Press the switch to make it move forward. As soon as it hits 
 the first obstruction, shoot the other laser tripwires. Climb on top of 
 the front of the cart. Dive as soon as the door opens and shoot the two 
 thugs there. Open the door to your left, shoot the thug on the right, 
 on top of the platform. Take cover and shoot the barrel next to the 
 thug at the far end. Enter and check the platform area for goodies. 
 Click the EMERGENCY SHUT OFF VALVE lever. A cut-scene.
 
         You can go back to the furnace to get some sniper ammo near the 
 body of the thug. Back inside the room with the cart-wheel and go to 
 the right this time. Shoot the first thug you see and the other will 
 come out for you. Kill him and enter that room. Check the shelves for 
 goodies and exit through the other door. Take cover behind the pillar 
 and shoot the thug on top of the broken metal bridge in the middle. And 
 again, shoot the thug on top of the ramp on the far left corner. Hop 
 onto the crate on the right side and use the wall beam to go to the 
 other side. Open the metal door and take cover on the left side. Shoot 
 the thug inside and press the lift switch behind him. Take cover on the 
 left side of the lift. Shoot the two thugs who are inside the lift and 
 enter. Press the lift switch to exit.

  Chapter 3: The Deep Six

 New York City. Present day. One night ago. Laboratory-Cold Steel (The 
 Factory).
 
 "Do you have any idea why this is called "Operation Dead Eyes"?"
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         Straight away take cover on the left side. Kill the two thugs 
 beyond the glass doors. Press the green panel to open the door and go 
 to the middle of the room, on top of the graffiti on the floor. A 
 graphic novel. Go through the door marked 'Processing', turn left and 
 shoot the thug looking the other way. Two thugs will make for the door 
 ahead. Shoot the valve of the propane tank on top of the crate when 
 they are near the door, to kill them. Exit through that door 'Test 
 Facilities', turn left and then right, and through another 'Test 
 Facilities' door. You can break the sirens too. You can find a CELL 
 ACCESS control panel, if go around to your right. Come back and take 
 the door marked 'Laboratories', through the glass door and check the 
 two active control panels on the left. A cut-scene.
 
         Head back to the Cell Access control panel and punch in the 
 password. You can check a small storage room on the opposite side of 
 Block B lift, near the smashed control panels. It has painkillers in 
 it. Take the lift, go up and enter the door to your right, marked 
 'Block B'. Go to the back of the room and open the cell 'B-7' to find a 
 chemist. A cut-scene. Follow the chemist back to the lower floor. When 
 you exit the lift, step ahead of the chemist and head to your right. 
 Two thugs are waiting there. Kill them before they get the chemist. 
 Follow the chemist back to the 'Laboratories' room. Go inside the small 
 'Decontamination' chamber and the chemist will punch you in. Exit and 
 head left. 
 
         You can see through the glass window on the left. Don't stand 
 in front of it or you too will be caught in the shootout. You can't do 
 anything to get them. Head through the door straight ahead and go to 
 the white cabinets. One of the drawers have painkiller in it. Use the 
 counter to cross over to the other side and take the lift marked 
 'Laboratories 2'. You will come to a room full of tripwires. Toss a 
 grenade into the room from the lift, just before the close of the door. 
 Boom!!! Now, enter the room and shoot the remaining tripwires. Check 
 the only active computer on the right side. A graphic novel. Turn left 
 and then right, take the lift marked 'Storage'. Exit and head right to 
 the purple control panel and activate it. Enter the 'Decontamination' 
 chamber. A 30 second countdown has been activated. Climb onto the left 
 parapet, and shoot the tripwires through the window. Exit and through 
 the 'Security Center' door. Turn right and enter the 'Surface Storage' 
 lift. Press the button and stand back. Don't stand on the grate. A cut-
 scene.

  Chapter 4: Backstabbing Bastard

 "When the darkness fell, New York city became something else, any old
  Sinatra song notwithstanding.
  Bad things happened in the night, on the streets of that other city,
  Noir York City."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off on the terrace of a five-level multi storied 
 parking garage. Take cover behind the wall and let the two guards come 
 for you. Shoot the explosive barrel just as one of them passes by it. 
 Shoot to kill the other one. Go to the right and hide to the left of 
 the wall of the next building. Kill the two guards there. And approach 
 the 'PARK' sign near the ramp. A thug appears on the landing. Snipe him 
 and go down the ramp. Halfway down and another goon appear. Shootdodge 
 backwards kill him. Go down and take cover behind the crates on the 
 other side.
 
 Level 5 :
 
         Snipe the man on the right side behind the gate. Shoot the man 
 on the left, collect ammo and enter. Take cover behind the second 
 pillar on the right. Shoot the thug you see coming towards you, and 
 kill another thug near the car. Check the painkiller cabinet on the far 
 left corner. Back to the car; hide near the 'PARK' sign. And another 
 set of thugs will come at you. Go into bullet time as soon as the guard 
 on this side comes near you and kill him. Shootdodge left and kill the 
 thug near the left side wall. Check for ammo on the left side, and walk 
 towards the ramp on the right. Take a couple of steps down and then 
 retreat. Crash!!! Take cover behind the wall. Two guards will come up 
 the ramp to kill you. Kill them. And go down the ramp.
 
 Level 4 :
 
         Peek around the corner; take a couple of steps towards the door 
 and retreat. Take cover behind the overturned car. Snipe the man on the 
 left side. Use the wall to peek around the corner. Shootdodge to your 
 left and kill the guard near the right side of the doorway. Enter and 
 take cover behind the second pillar. A guard will come for you. Kill 
 him. Go forward, another thug on the left side. Kill him and check the 
 back of the white van for goodies. Hide near the 'PARK' sign. A couple 
 of thugs will come running along the wall. Kill them using colt 
 commando and bullet time. Go down the ramp on the right.
 
 Level 3 :
 
         Halfway down the ramp, a thug comes out from the right corner 
 and attacks you. Kill him and proceed to the right side of the landing, 
 beyond the yellow hurdle. Peek and shoot the thug on the left side of 
 the door. Shoot the lock on the door and enter. Take cover behind the 
 second pillar. Shoot the thug you see on the other side of the fence. 
 Collect the ammo near the first fallen thug. And peek around the corner 
 on the far right. A thug. Bullet time kill him and retreat. Another 
 thug will charge at you. Kill him and turn right. Halfway down the 
 turn, a couple of thugs appear. Shootdodge backwards and kill the 
 straighter one. Then shootdodge forward and kill the other. Carefully 
 move forward, using the wall as cover. Peek around the wall to find a 
 thug near the car. Head for the pillar and take cover. Kill that and 
 another thug. Three more will come for you. Kill them all, check the 
 painkiller cabinet and move forward. Check the room on the right for 
 goodies. Check the radio. A graphic scene. Exit and go near the 'PARK' 
 sign. Go for the ramp ahead, and a thug followed by another will be 
 making their way up the ramp. Kill them both and go down the ramp.
 
 Level 2 :
 
         Peek around the corner, turn right, and enter the door. 
 Screeeech!!! Equip M79 and shoot the thug near the burning van. Quickly 
 take cover near the first pillar and shoot the first thug who comes 
 your way. Go to the pillar near the car and kill the thug hiding behind 
 it. Another will come from behind the car and another from the left 
 side. Kill the thug near the car first and then go for the second one. 
 You can check the white van behind the burning van for goodies. Hide 
 near the 'PARK' sign. And kill the thug on the left side near the 
 crates. Collect the ammo near the crates and go down the ramp.
 
 Level 1 :
 
         Peek around the corner on the right. Show yourself to the thugs 
 and hide. A thug will come after you. Kill him and shoot the other one 
 using the green barrel as cover. Shootdodge through the door and kill 
 the thug on the right. Quickly take cover behind the first pillar. A 
 cut-scene. Shoot the two thugs who come for you and collect their 
 weapon. Jackhammer!!! Rejoice and check the office on the right for 
 goodies. Out and go left, beyond the crashed cars and hide behind the 
 van. Equip M79 and shoot the two thugs running on the other side while 
 backward shootdodging. Third will come for you. Kill him too. Time to 
 kill B.B. you can snipe him from behind the car. But I prefer to go 
 near him and fill him with lead while in bullet time. Watch out for the 
 grenades that he tosses at you. After killing him, the payphone starts 
 to ring. Receive it.

 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off in the inner courtyard of the building. Go to the 
 left of the stairs on the opposite side, and climb down the cellar 
 stairs. U-turn left around the corner and you will find a laser 
 tripwire. Move back and shoot it. A guard will come to check. Kill him, 
 go forward and turn right. Show yourself to the guard ahead and hide 
 behind the pillar. Kill him when he shows up. Wait and another one will 
 come for you. Kill him too, check the shelves, climb the stairs and 
 through the door. Turn right and peek around the corner. You will find 
 a guard patrolling on the top floor. Kill him and enter the door at the 
 end to the right.
 
         Quickly check the screen on the right. A graphic novel. Check 
 the cabinet, and stand near the left of the other door. The closed door 
 will open and two thugs will enter. Kill them, exit the door, and go to 
 your right and shootdodge kill the thug at the far end. Dive through 
 door on the right, in the middle of the corridor, and kill the thug 
 there. Another will come from the left side. Kill him and the thug on 
 the landing of the stairs. Go up and shoot the thug who comes in your 
 way. Stay put, looking at the lift. A thug will drop down inside it. 
 Fill him with lead and head up the stairs. Quickly retreat as a grenade 
 comes flying down. Boom!!! Wait and a guard will come down. Kill him 
 and go to the top floor. Enter the door to your left.
 
         Turn right and check the painkiller cabinet and the desk there. 
 Back and go left. The way forward is booby-trapped. Toss a grenade and 
 stand back. Boom!!! Now proceed and shootdodge after turning right, and 
 kill the goon. Turn right again, and shootdodge kill the thug hiding in 
 the right cubicle. Check the radio. A graphic novel. Shoot the 
 tripwires on the left and check the cubicle at the far end on the left 
 for goodies. And come back. The way forward is once again booby-
 trapped. Toss a grenade and stand back. Boom!!! Go right, and through 
 the door. Hide on the left side of the wall. A thug will come for you. 
 Kill him and the thug camping behind you. Go to the end of the corridor 
 and enter the door on the left. Check the video tape. A graphic novel. 
 Enter the next room and check the table and the TV here. A couple of 
 graphic novels. Enter the next room and check the closet on the left 
 for goodies.
 
         Open the next door and hide on the right side of the door. A 
 thug will come for you. Kill him. Exit the door and kill the thug on 
 the balcony below you. Turn left and then turn right. Go through the 
 door at the end and shootdodge kill the thug who comes up running. Turn 
 left and shoot the laser tripwires. A cut-scene. Use the wall of the 
 stairs as cover and kill the two thugs. Check the end of their room for 
 goodies and come back out. Go left and check the door to your right. 
 Shootdodge forward and kill the thug at the end. Use M79 to kill the 
 thug on the floor below by aiming at the pillar behind him. Exit 
 through the door you entered from and take the door on the opposite 
 side. Go down to the floor below and through the door on the right. 
 You're in the room where a dead thug is kissing the floor thanks to 
 M79. Check the room for goodies, exit through the same door, and take 
 the door on the opposite side.
 
         Peek around the corner. A couple of thugs are discussing 
 something. Use colt commando to the head to kill them. Jump over the 
 tripwires and reach the bottom of the stairs. Open the gate and take 
 cover on the left. Kill him using cover and enter the long corridor. 
 Throw a grenade near the tripwire to blow it up. Again shoot the 
 tripwire at the end of the corridor and turn right. more tripwires. 
 Throw a grenade in the middle and retreat. Boom!!!  Enter the door to 
 your left at the end of the corridor to end the level.

  Chapter 6: Byzantine Power Game

 "I had dreamed of revenge.
  Those dreams were always nightmares, of coming close and then failing. 
  Now I was close. I had a name to guide me. ------ -----.
  I had nothing to lose."
 
 A cut-scene.
 
         You start off on top of a small platform inside a vast file 
 storage room. Take cover behind the pillar on the right and shoot the 
 thug coming your way. Take the corridor to the back of the room, and 
 take cover behind the third cabinet from behind on the left side. Shoot 
 the two thugs coming your way. Then go to the small table to read. A 
 graphic novel. Stand back and shoot the laser tripwires. Boom!!! Go to 
 the left of the fallen cabinets and take cover behind the 4th pillar 
 from last. Use cover and shoot the two thugs on top of the balcony on 
 the other side. Now, climb the fallen cabinets to go to the balcony 
 area of the room. Jump onto the stairs, and take the balcony on the 
 left. Turn left at the end and shootdodge kill the thug running your 
 way. Go near the two dead thugs and collect goodies. Peek left around 
 the doorway. A thug at the top of the small set of stairs. Kill him and 
 check the painkiller cabinet near the exit door behind the stairs. 
 Climb the stairs to the next floor and enter the door at the end called 
 'Library'.
 
         Three thugs will come sliding down the ropes near the cabinets. 
 Kill at least one of them before they land. Shootdodge-colt commando 
 kills the other two. Watch out for laser tripwires between the 
 cabinets, as one of the thugs on the last rope on the right sets up 
 three of them----one between the cabinets, one near the stairs at the 
 far end, and one near the pillar in the middle. After killing them, 
 take the stairs if it still hasn't been destroyed already. If it has 
 been, then shoot the tripwire on the pillar. It will make a slope to 
 the second floor. After climbing, take the door on the left, at the far 
 end. Turn left and move forward. Two thugs will come from the left door 
 at the end. Kill them and enter the door marked 'Press Room'. Go to the 
 door on the right side and kill the thug who comes that way. Another 
 will come to check. Do the same. And check the table at the back for 
 goodies, and back to the door on the right.
 
         Shootdodge through the door on the left, and kill the thug at 
 the far end. Go around that way and cap the goon on the other side of 
 the round balcony-like area. Go through the door marked 'exit'. Take 
 the right door, and a couple of goons slide down the rope through the 
 glass. Shoot them before they can land. Go down the stairs and through 
 the door. Peek around the left corner to find a couple thugs on the 
 other balcony. Show yourself and retreat. Boom!!! Now, use M79 to kill 
 them and equip jackhammer. Go to the end of the walkway. And a thug 
 will come from the straighter door. Kill him. Check the area he came 
 from to find some painkillers down the stairs (if you haven't used them 
 already). And come back to the balcony. Take the side door near the 
 straighter door. Shootdodge through the door at the end of the walkway 
 to kill the thug at the far end. Go around that way and cap the goon on 
 the other side of the round balcony-like area. Come to this side and 
 snipe the thug on the above balcony. Explore the room for goodies. Go 
 through the door marked 'exit'.
 
         Down the stairs, peek into the room on the left. A couple of 
 thugs talking about something. Toss a Molotov at them. And enter the 
 room. This is the same room Max dived from in the starting cut-scene. 
 Take the door on the left. A cut-scene.
 Take cover behind the first pillar. Thud!!! A thug will come for you. 
 Kill him. Toss a grenade over the fallen pillar near the thug at the 
 pillar behind him. Boom!!! Two more thugs will come from the far side 
 towards you. Kill them too. Use the pillar as cover and move forward, 
 until you see another thug on the right. M79 or any other weapon for 
 him. Explore the room for goodies and exit the room through the doors 
 beyond the control panel and metal detectors.

  Chapter 7: Nothing to Lose

 A cut-scene.
 
         Equip M79 and go through the metal detectors. Left and then 
 look to your right at the far end. Explode the three thugs there. 
 Proceed, turn left and go to the far end and kiss the metal wall. Turn 
 back, equip sniper rifle. Notice the position of the three thugs at the 
 far end, on top of the ramp. And slowly move to your left, into the 
 long open corridor. Shoot the thug at the topmost ramp quickly. Then 
 take your sweet time to shoot the two thugs on the lower ramp. Walk 
 down the new corridor, and shoot the two thugs coming out of the door 
 on the right at the far corner with M79.
 
         Take that door, and go to the landing of the metal escalator. 
 Shoot the laser tripwire and toss a grenade at the top landing to blow 
 another laser tripwire there. Move up the stairs. Use the metal pillar 
 as cover. A thug appears near the railing at the top to your right. 
 Kill him. Bullet time and head to your left, shoot the guard at the top 
 of the escalator. Shoot the tripwire and head up. A thug on the left 
 near the metal seats and another comes from behind on the right side. 
 Kill them all and head to your right, into the long corridor. Turn 
 right, at the end and collect the painkillers. Come back towards the 
 escalator, and another thug will come from the right side. Kill him and 
 take that route. Go into the room on the left, and shoot the thug on 
 the left side of the entrance. Collect the goodies and out of the room. 
 Shoot the laser tripwire in the middle of the escalator near that room 
 and head up. Turn around and go to the back of the floor. A thug comes 
 out of the door on the right. Kill him and enter.
 
         Turn right at the end and you will come across a small corridor 
 loaded with moving laser tripwires. Save. Move ahead with caution and 
 shoot the thug that appears as soon as you cross the third tripwire. 
 Reach the end, equip M79 and enter the room. Blow the thug on the right 
 and another one behind him. Go through the passageway on the right and 
 check the cabinet for painkillers. Shoot the two thugs when you come 
 back, equip M79 and press the lift switch. A graphic novel. Quickly 
 turn around and backward shootdodge. And blow away the three thugs near 
 the middle wall. Again press the lift switch. Another graphic novel. 
 Enter the lift and press the switch. A cut-scene. Equip dual Berettas 
 and save. Look up and shoot the tripwires as they come near you. 
 Remember to reload your weapon after every explosion. There are five of 
 these. After you finish with it, you will arrive in another thug-
 infested floor.
 
         Carefully peek around the left corner to find a couple of thugs 
 patrolling the area. Shoot them in the head. Exit the lift and quickly 
 hide under the ramp near the dead thugs. Slowly move backwards while 
 looking up and stop as soon as you see a thug's head on the ramp. Shoot 
 to kill. Go to the right side of the ramp and do the same. After they 
 are all dead, make you way to the room behind you. Open the gate and 
 take cover outside. Kill him when he comes out and enter. Check the 
 painkiller cabinet and go to the lift control panel on the right side. 
 Press it twice and go near the right side sliding door. Save. There are 
 three of them outside. Shootdodge out and kill them with either M79 or 
 Jackhammer. It may take a few tries. After killing them, head to the 
 lift under the ramp.
 
         Enter and press the lift switch. You are going up; soon you 
 will be going down!!! Kiss the left (switch) wall of the lift, as a 
 helicopter loaded with machine gun will attack. When the right wall 
 glass breaks, touch it. Left wall glass breaks too. Jump through the 
 left wall onto the next lift and enter, press switch. You're now going 
 down.
 
         Peek on the left corner when lift opens. Two thugs are talking. 
 Blow them away with M79 and retreat into the lift. Switch to colt 
 commando, shootdodge through the gate and kill a third thug on the 
 right. Go to your right and peek around the corner. When the coast is 
 clear, run and take cover behind the security mainframe unit. Snipe the 
 two thugs at the far end using cover, one by one. Now, shoot two of the 
 mainframe unit and head to one of the doorway. A couple of guards will 
 come from the right side lift. Kill them. Now shoot the remaining 
 mainframe units. And head to the left side lift. A guard is occupying 
 the lift. Kill him, enter it, and press the switch.
 
         The lift will take you to Horne's office. Exit and take cover 
 behind the pillar on the right side of the fence. Step forward into the 
 room and retreat. Three guards will come down the stairs and towards 
 you. Use Jackhammer to cap them. Take the stairs to the room above and 
 turn left. Hide behind the pillar as three more thugs are coming for 
 your head. Waste them all. Go through the sliding doors and approach 
 the computer table. Activate Horne's private computer. A graphic novel. 
 Explore the area for another thug if you feel like killing some more 
 thugs. If not, then head to the left of the computer panel and press 
 the lift switch to exit the level.

  Chapter 8: Pain and Suffering

 A cut-scene.
 
         You have finally reached Nicole Horne. You are in her penthouse 
 where you will straight away get to face four thugs. Take cover on the 
 left side of the partition, behind the chairs and table. Two thugs will 
 try taking position behind the sculpture on the right side. Use M79 to 
 kill them. And one more thing, make sure you save at least one shot of 
 M79 for later. If you only have one right now, then use bullet time-
 colt commando to kill those two. Move forward to the edge of the 
 partition and kill the two thugs when they come for you. The next door 
 is closed and the blast door covering the entire bigggggggg window on 
 the right opens up. A cut-scene.
 
         The helicopter is loaded with machine gun and will blast the 
 entire room. Quickly take cover behind the sculpture and crouch until 
 the helicopter leaves the party. Two more thugs will come out from the 
 next door. Kill them and exit the room. Stand outside the lift to kill 
 another thug. Go through the door opposite the lift and out onto the 
 balcony. Beyond the railing to the left is a narrow catwalk. Hop onto 
 it and make your way forward. The chopper will again come to stalk you. 
 Dive as soon as the helicopter starts firing, and into the next room's 
 balcony.
 
         Through the sliding door, is a room with many of Nicole Horne's 
 sculpture collection??? Through the door on the right, take cover 
 behind the wall on the left of the stairs. A thug comes for you; kill 
 him and u the stairs. Go to the second landing, and retreat. Boom!!! 
 Again, go to the second landing and look into the next corridor. A thug 
 hiding behind a chair. Kiss the wall on the back, zoom in with the 
 sniper, and slowly move up the stairs until you see the thug, and shoot 
 to kill. Now, go to the left of the stairs and shoot the thug between 
 the narrow spaces. Up the stair, and a couple of thugs come out of the 
 lift on the far end. Kill them and another thug comes out of the door 
 on the right. Kill him and collect the goodies on the floor.
 
         Stand near the door, show yourself and hide. A couple of thugs 
 will come for you. Kill them. Enter and kill the remaining thug. 
 Collect the ammo near the thugs' seating place. Go to the left of the 
 sliding door on the right and peek inside. A couple of thugs on the 
 left. Toss a grenade and boom!!! Collect ammo from near them and head 
 through the door on the right. Carry forward, and another thug comes 
 out of the room on the right. Kill him and carry forward. Another thug 
 is waiting near the bottom of the stairs on the right. Kill him and up 
 the stairs.
 
         This is the last room of this game. Go forward until you reach 
 the end of the wall on the left, and a thug will come out from the 
 right side. Backward shootdodge kills him. Peek around the corner to 
 your left. Three more thugs to take care of. Show yourself to them, and 
 they will come for you. Pick them off as they come. Now, go to the 
 table at the end. Press the switch on the left side of the computer 
 table to reveal a door on the left side wall. Go through it and up the 
 stairs. Shootdodge when Nicole Horne starts to shoot at you. Through 
 the door at the top. A cut-scene.
 
         You will see that Nicole Horne is on the other side of the roof 
 and you can't reach her. As you would have noticed, two of the swaying 
 tower's moorings are broken. You need to break the remaining two 
 moorings. You can relax for a minute, if you want to. A cut-scene. A 
 one-minute countdown has begun. Four thugs appear from behind, through 
 the sliding glass door. Equip and shoot M79 at them. Take cover behind 
 the cabin on the left and kill whoever survived the attack. Go to the 
 right side and stand near the mooring. You need to shoot the white and 
 yellow bolt the cable is attached to. Out onto the metal parapet it was 
 attached to, and look to your right, on the other side of the roof. You 
 will notice the second cable mooring. Zoom in and snipe it. Then, shoot 
 at the metal tower and watch the cool cut-scene.
 
        If you didn't wait for a minute: Go to the right side and stand 
 near the mooring. You need to shoot the white and yellow bolt the cable 
 is attached to. Shoot it and four thugs appear from behind, through the 
 glass sliding door. A one-minute countdown has begun. Equip and shoot 
 M79 at them. Take cover behind the cabin on the left and kill whoever 
 survived the attack. Now, go back near the first mooring, out onto the 
 metal parapet it was attached to, and look to your right, on the other 
 side of the roof. You will notice the second cable mooring. Zoom in and 
 snipe it. Then, shoot at the metal tower and watch the cool cut-scene.

 Use the developer command line cheat and give yourself a grenade ( 
 then ''getgrenade'' in the console) at the start of the level. Toss it 
 in the gap of broken titles after the initial level start camera 
 panning. This will cause the mission objectives to change to ''I had 
 declared war against the rats''. As you progress through the level, you 
 will come across the two factions of rats -- WITH DESERT EAGLES! Shoot 
 at one of the ceiling lamps that's off at its base to make it fall, 
 causing the start of the war. If your group of rats wins, they will 
 join forces and follow you through the rest of the level. If the other 
 rats win, they'll turn their remaining forces on you.

 never my thing.'' Later in the game when in the Punchinello manor, you 
 can have Max try a few -- unsuccessful! -- times to play the theme of 
 the game on the piano [make sure you have not knocked out the lid

 10) Turn Off Klaxon Sirens: While in the underground portion of the 
 Cold Steel plant (Project Valhalla labs), you can turn off the annoying 
 klaxons -- the Max Payne way! Any time you hear a siren blaring, look 
 around the ceiling for the loud speakers. They are usually located by a 
 doorway, except in the main control room where they are near the middle 
 of the room's ceiling. Pop a round or two in to them and the god-awful

 11) Developer Message: On the level where you are confronting B.B. on 
 the parking garage, there is a hidden area where you can get a sniper 
 rifle & ammo. Before going down the first ramp that leads deeper in to 
 the garage, jump on the various objects by the entrance to the lower 
 levels to get on a roof with a small metal-walled building on top. Bash 
 on all the walls with the bat until a panel falls away and then go 
 inside. Once inside, you'll also see a radio you can turn on to hear a 
 rather humorous message from a couple of the game's developer.

 12) Secret Room: In the second part of the Asgard Building, after 
 picking up the video tape and watching the TV news report about Aesir 
 Corp being a huge monopoly, there is a small, dark room with a table, 
 couch etc. Shoot the small painting to make it fall off and a small 
 white button is revealed. Press this button to make the couch behind 
 you rise. Go down underneath it and use the control panel to open the 
 door. Inside, switch the TV on to hear a funny version of Star Trek 
 (called the Void) and open the cupboard behind the curtain to find, 
 er...something else.

 15) Secret Area: If you manage to beat Max Payne on the hardest 
 difficulty setting, after the game ends you will appear in a secret

 There are around 20 guards waiting for you. After defeating all of the 
 guards the game says "Well Done" and you'll be able to access a room 
 with photographs of the development team, a special Remedy logo and 
 some other things.
